Faculty Position at Peking University

The Peking University College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture is a newly established institute focusing on graduate level education in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning and design. Over the past 13 years, the College has trained 160 doctors and masters. Currently, 240 graduate and PhD students are pursuing degrees. The innovative development of The College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture is widely acclaimed overseas and has become one of the most influential centers in promoting sustainable urbanization in China. To ensure long-term development of the program, the College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture is now recruiting national and international talents of world-class renown.

1. Posts
The College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture has a number of open positions for professors, associate professors and assistant professors in three disciplines:
(1) Architecture
(2) Landscape Architecture
(3) Urban Design

2. Requirements
(1) Interested candidates must hold a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in a related field. Specialized training and/or practical job experience is desirable.
(2) Qualified candidates should hold outstanding skills in teaching and research training. International research or teaching experience is highly commendable.
(3) Candidates with experience in design practice, especially those whose works are recognized by international journals or in critical surveys are appreciated. Awards of (inter)national competitions will also be taken into consideration in assessing the application.
(4) If awarded a position, candidates will be expected to maintain a minimum 9 months stay in Peking University per year of the contract period.
4. Remuneration
(1) Treatments and benefits in line with those of Peking University.
(2) The salary will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, and is negotiable.
